Josephine Alice Holt's Obituary
Josephine Alice Holt, 83, of Leesburg, VA, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010 after a brief but courageous battle with leukemia. Josephine was born on June 19, 1926 in the Philippines. She was a daughter of the late Emilio Domingo and the late Antonia Aquino Domingo. She was the beloved wife of 23 years to the late Harold Kingsley Holt, a retired Foreign Service Officer, who died in 1984.
Mrs. Holt worked for the Foreign Service and travelled extensively around the world. Her travels included stops in Pakistan, India, Turkey, Japan, Liberia and Cyprus where she enjoyed immersing in the local culture. After her retirement, she continued her zest for travel both international and domestic where her activities demonstrated her zest for life. Mrs. Holt also enjoyed spending her time cooking gourmet meals. She gained great satisfaction entertaining family and friends with the premise, the more the merrier. Mrs. Holt was a lover of animals, enjoyed getting into spirited political discussions and attending Tina Turner concerts.
Mrs. Holt was a devoted mother to her three children: Sheila Nelson and her husband Thom of Danville, CA, Tracy Holt of Centreville, VA, and Linda Holt of Leesburg, VA. Mrs. Holt is also survived by two grandchildren Scott Nelson of Boulder, CO, and Laurie Nelson of Manhattan, NY.

Columbarium services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 10 am at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. Those who wish to attend should arrive at the administration building by 9:30am.
