Joyce Simmons Tunnell's Obituary
Joyce Simmons Tunnell, 77, of Leesburg, VA, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at her home.
Born on July 17, 1937 in Arlington, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Edgar Ellsworth and Florence Mary Curry.
Joyce retired in 2000 from the Arlington Hall as a Department of Defense Analyst.
She is survived by her daughters Theresa Tunnell, Alison Hansan and Kimberly Hjort-Wilson (Glenn); and her grandchildren, Ryan Hansan (Lisa), Ann Hansan, Tripp Hjort, Tommy Hjort and Courtney Wilson.
The family received friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
A graveside service was held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Capital Caring, 24419 Millstream Drive Aldie, VA 20105.
