Juan De Mata Caballero Ledesma's Obituary
Juan De Mata Caballero Ledesma, 83, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Leesburg, VA surrounded by his loving family.
Juan was born February 8, 1938, in Chincha-Ica, Perú. He was the son of the late Eduardo Caballero and Luisa Ledesma and was part of a large family with seven brothers and sisters. A kind, caring, and patient man, brother of “Salud Fuerza y Unión” Masonic lodge N° 69, Juan had multiple roles in his life. From an executive at a large auto insurance company, to an entrepreneur, chef, and even custodian. No matter where he worked or where he was, all those who met him will remember Juan fondly and always with a smile on his face.
Juan is survived by his loving wife, Iris Caballero, daughters, Rocío Paola Caballero-Gill and Carla Caballero, son-in-law Giordon Gill, grandchildren Giordon Jr. and Emilia Caballero-Gill, and beloved dog, Alexa (Ashburn, VA). He is also survived by his older sister, Lenida Caballero Ledesma (Lima, Perú) and many nieces and nephews, all of whom nicknamed him Tío Papi (Father Uncle).
A visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Christ the Redeemer Roman Catholic Church. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM. The church is located at 46833 Harry Byrd Highway Sterling, Virginia 20164.

Juan De Mata Caballero Ledesma, de 83 años, de Ashburn, Virginia, falleció el martes 27 de julio de 2021 en el Hospital INOVA Loudoun de Leesburg, VA, rodeado de su querida familia.
Juan nació el 8 de febrero de 1938 en Chincha-Ica, Perú; fue hijo de los difuntos Eduardo Caballero y Luisa Ledesma y formó parte de una gran familia con siete hermanos y hermanas. Hombre bondadoso, afectuoso y paciente, hermano de la logia masónica "Salud Fuerza y Unión" N° 69, Juan tuvo múltiples roles en su vida. Desde ejecutivo en una gran compañía de seguros de automóviles, hasta empresario, chef e incluso custodio. No importa dónde trabajara o dónde estuviera, todos los que lo conocieron recordarán a Juan con cariño y siempre con una sonrisa en la cara.
A Juan le sobreviven su amada esposa, Iris Caballero, sus hijas, Rocío Paola Caballero-Gill y Carla Caballero, su yerno Giordon Gill, sus nietos Giordon Jr. y Emilia Caballero-Gill, y su querida perrita, Alexa (Ashburn, VA). También le sobreviven su hermana mayor, Lenida Caballero Ledesma (Lima, Perú) y muchas sobrinas y sobrinos, todos los cuales le llamaban con cariño Tío Papi.
