JUDY RAE BELL CARROLL's Obituary
Judy Rae Bell Carroll 73, of Charles Town, WV gained her wings on October 28, 2022 after a short illness. Judy was born on January 10, 1949 to Henry Franklin and June Alexander Bell in Winchester, VA.
Judy graduated from Loudon County high school in 1966, in that same year she met Jimmy Carroll at Purcellville Skating Rink (on a Sunday), Jimmy said she was the “most beautiful girl in the world”.
Judy and Jimmy joined into matrimony December 16, 1967, as their love grew so did their family and they went on to have 3 children which resulted in 10 beautiful grandchildren (so far).
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and her grandmother Nellie Alexander.
Judy is survived by her husband, Jimmy Carroll, children & grandchildren: the eldest son Jeff, his daughter Baylee; Jay (Kelly) and their children: Christopher, Addison, Sadye, Mia, Austin and Lexye; daughter, Jami (Greg), their children: Ronny, Jordyn and Elliot; brothers: Ricky (Terry) Bell, Tim (Angela) Bell; cousin, Holly (Richard) Edwards, with whom she shared a deep special bond (Holly Polly), and godson (Zachary). In addition to a host of close relatives and good friends.
Judy loved hosting gatherings, the Redskins, and was an avid Elvis fan. She was a festive fashionista full of fun and the life of the party with her infectious smile. She would help anyone she could and never met a person who didn’t become a friend. She retired from United Airlines in 2006 and continued to enjoy her days being the social butterfly she was; spending time with family and friends, spoiling her grandchildren, caring for others, baking, attending bible study, and continuing to practice her faith.
Her strength, resilience, and love for life shown while overcoming two cases of breast cancer. Even though she went through a lot of pain and suffering, she never gave up. She fought still wanting to be a part of life, the world, and be with family and friends. Judy did not let the battles keep her down. Her radiance shined every time she went out; her hair, makeup, and nails done. She always showed the best side of her, even if she was hurting on the inside. She was appreciative of the people around her and deeply loved the Lord. She would always light up the room, everyone that knew her would agree, that she was pure sunshine in a human soul.

• Saturday November 5, 2022 10:00 – 10:45 viewing, Leesburg Community Church, 835 Lee Avenue, Leesburg, VA 20175 followed by the Service at 11:00am.
Internment at Middleburg Memorial Park, East Federal St., Middleburg, VA 20117, followed by a luncheon at the American Legion Hall, 111 The Plains Rd, Middleburg, VA 20117
