Judy M. Doughty's Obituary
Judy M. Doughty passed away at home in Sterling, Va., on December 15, 2023. Born July 21, 1946, in Philadelphia, Pa., Judy moved to Columbia, Md., in 1983. She retired from CVS/Pharmacy in 2010 after 25 years. She is predeceased by her husband of 43 years, James L. Doughty, as well as her parents, Jule “Dolly” Westfield, Charles Prieb, and Charles Westfield; and her brother Charles Prieb. She is survived by daughter Jennifer Jones and son-in-law Gordon Jones of Sterling, Va.; son James J. Doughty of Greencastle, Pa.; granddaughter Jacinda Doughty of Essex, Md.; sister Marianne Werynski; and brothers Thomas Prieb, Amiel Westfield, James Westfield, and Alan Westfield; their spouses; numerous nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
Judy will be remembered for hosting weekend parties, poker nights, and impromptu karaoke singalongs, always being willing to help out family and friends, and being the garage band mom.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on December 28, 2023, at Loudon Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, VA 20175, at 1 p.m. Judy will be interred privately at Columbia Memorial Park in Columbia, Md.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
