Julian E. Wayland Jr.'s Obituary
Julian Earl Wayland, Jr., 87, of Lovettsville, Virginia, passed away on January 20, 2015.
He was born on February, 11, 1927 in Carnegie, PA, and spent his youth in Sperryville, Virginia.
After serving in the Air Force and Navy he went to school at the University of Virginia where he received a bachelor’s and later a master’s degree in business. His passions were teaching business courses for 27 years at Loudoun Valley High School, farming his 86 acre farm in Lovettsville VA, and spending time with his family.
Husband to Betty T. Wayland; father to Linda M. Pote, Mary K. Gordon, Julian E. Wayland 3rd, David B. Wayland, Rebecca E. Williams; grandfather to Karen L. Belshee, Craig M. Gordon, the late Hannah M. Pote, Jennifer A. Pote, Samuel W. Pote, Jacquelyn C. Williams, Rachel E. Cornett, Emily A. Carson, Bradley S. Carson, Lauren P. Cornett, Chad W. Williams, the late Lydia Wayland Pote; great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren; brother to Katherine Hall, the late James Wayland, the late Lawrence Wayland, Richard Wayland and the late Charles Wayland; friend to many and will be missed by all.
The family received friends from 1 to 2 pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, Leesburg, VA on Friday, January 23, 2015. Funeral services began at 2pm on Friday.
A reception to celebrate Julian’s life followed at 3: 30 at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church in Lovettsville, VA; please come join the family.
Interment will be held privately at a later date.
