Julien Gantling Randolph Jr.'s Obituary
JULIEN GANTLING RANDOLPH, JR., 56 of Purcellville, Virginia passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Leesburg, Virginia.
Born Sunday, April 27, 1969, in Richmond, Virginia, he was the son of the late Julien Gantling Randolph, Sr., and the late Mable (Perkins) Randolph.
Julien was passionate about football and loved coaching as well as watching it with his sons. He was an avid debater of all current events, an expert smoker and grill master, and he enjoyed a lifelong love of learning.
He graduated high school from St. Stephen’s School in Alexandria, VA and went on to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point followed by The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC where he met his wife, Heather, and many lifelong friends.
He worked in the security sector for many years at UPS, Harris and Verizon, and made close friends in every area of his life.
Julien, known as Gant to those closest to him, leaves many to cherish his memory, including his wife of 22 years, Heather Joy (Casassa) Randolph; sons, Julien Gantling Randolph, III and Maxwell Edward Randolph; daughter, Gabrielle Joy Randolph; niece, Mercedes Riddick; mother-in-law, Judith B. Casassa; father-in-law, Edward B. Casassa, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Molly Casassa Thompson and Katlin Engler (Joel); brother-in-law, Edward B. Casassa, III; as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother William (Billy) Johnson, and sister Yvonne Riddick.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE, Leesburg, Virginia. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
