Justin Edwin Pregenzer's Obituary
Justin Edwin Pregenzer passed away unexpectedly on the evening of August 4, 2020 of sudden cardiac arrest at home. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Brandi (McIntyre) Pregenzer and children Zachary (12), Benjamin (10) and Caitlyn (4).
He was born on May 31, 1982 in Ridgewood, New Jersey and leaves behind a large family consisting of his grandmother Ann Colucio, parents Dr. Gerard and Linda (Colucio) Pregenzer, older brother Dr. Gerard Pregenzer Jr (w/ Tania), younger sister Laura (Pregenzer) Crouthamel (w/ Andrew) and younger brother Joseph Pregenzer plus his nieces and nephews. He lived in Westfield, NJ for the majority of his childhood where he developed a lifelong passion for Scouting and the values found within it.
He took the core value of service and joined the United States Air Force after 9/11 where he was stationed at Beale AFB for 4 years before separating to continue the mission as a DOD contractor. He loved his work and the mission; working hard to be the specialist in any position he was given.
After the birth of his children he was eagerly awaiting the time he could share his love for scouting with them. He was always prepared to step into any leadership role and could be counted on to do the right thing at all times.
He was a well loved loyal friend and partner. He will be sorely missed.
Due to the current situation with Covid there will be a private family viewing on Tuesday (8/11) with a Funeral Mass on Wednesday (8/12) at 10 am at St Theresa Parish in Ashburn VA. He will entombed at Arlington National Cemetery next summer with a celebration of life to follow.
