Kamaldeep Singh Gill's Obituary
Kamaldeep Singh Gill, 50, of Ashburn VA passed away on 9/11/2023. Kamal was born to Sartaj Singh Bhinder and Rupinder Kaur in Jallandhar Cant. Punjab on 9/4/ 1973. Armed with a degree in Hotel Management, Kamal went on to enhance his education credentials with certifications in Food & Beverage management, culinary operations, general management, hospitality administration management and hospitality and tourism management.
His career in the past thirty years covered high value operation management in various roles as CEO, General Manager, Unit Director and AGM in world class organizations across three continents. He was a key management team leader for projects with Kempinski, Intercontinental Hotels, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Marriott, and Gate Gourmet. Kamal also successfully led different development/franchise pioneering projects that include Springhill Suites for Marriott, Hampton Inn & Suites for Hilton and the new startup Zone Concept.
Kamal is predeceased by his mother Rupinder Kaur and his beloved Father in law, Mr. Richard Graham. He is survived by his wife Jillian, his daughters Zara and Zia and their loved family dog Archie.
Kamal is remembered as a large hearted, loving, generous, friendly, adventurous, well read, community and environment conscious individual who would give the shirt off his back for his friends and loved ones. His favorite pastimes included golf, adventure sport, travel and entertaining family and friends with his superior culinary skills.. His dedication towards causes and community saw him contribute in various ways to diabetes and cancer care, women empowerment programs and fund raising. Most of all Kamal will be remembered as a devoted father to his children Zara, Zia and Archie and a loving partner to Jillian.
Kamal’s services will be held at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel and Crematory located at 158, Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg VA 20175. Open casket viewing hours from 10am followed by service and cremation at 11am. After this, there will be a Paath service and Bhog at the Raj Khalsa Gurudwara located at 22821 Silverbrook Center Dr, Sterling, VA 20166 .
