Karen M. Spriggs' Obituary
Karen M. Spriggs was born October 14th, 1945, in Leesburg, VA to Charles and Louise Mallory. She came into the world as a twin with Charles F. Mallory. They called themselves “Brother and Sister) and the nickname stuck. She attended the 2nd St. School in Waterford, VA and attended Douglas Highschool in Leesburg VA.
She was baptized at Providence Baptist Church by Rev. Love and later changed her membership to First Mt. Olive Baptist Church under Rev. Harald S. Stinger.
She was employed at E Systems in Fairfax, VA for many years before becoming a private caretaker to many local families. She will be remembered for her stylish dress and always having a “Hi Honey” for everyone she met.
She leaves to mourn her passing her son Timothy K. Mallory of North Carolina and daughter Karen M. Washington of Washington, D.C., grandsons Draco D. Lincoln, Kelvin M. Lincoln, Carlton D. Lincoln, and granddaughter Jayde L. Mallory, and great grandson Xavier Charles Lincoln – Mallory. Karen is also survived by her twin brother Charles F. Mallory of Colorado Springs, Co. and Wife Lydia, Sisters Teresa H. Howard of Sterling VA., Nardeka A Reid of Ashburn VA., Lynn Mallory – Smith of Leesburg VA., Almeda Johnson and Francis Ferrell also of Leesburg, Va. In laws, Joseph Morrison of Hagerstown MD., Pamela Mallory of Frederick MD., and Gwen Whiting of Paeonion Springs VA.
She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Louise Mallory, siblings, Wesley G. Mallory and Patricia Morison and Wilber Whiting.
