I worked with Karl for several years at Charleston Naval Shipyard ('82-'84) in Code 381.3. He was a great engineer, had a wonderful sense of humor and we all enjoyed laughing & cutting-up with each other. We all knew he was destined for great things and indeed he achieved greatness - but most of all he was a great man who was 'kind & decent'.. RARE these days. God bless his wife & children & grandchildren.
I met Karl when he was my boyfriends roommate in college. He was always respectful and thoughtful. I am sad to hear of this. Prayers for his family.
