KATHERINE ANN BROWN's Obituary
KATHERINE ANN BROWN, 82, of Leesburg, VA, passed on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Born on July 7, 1943, in Mt. Airy, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Sr. and Helen Cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Louis Sr, son Louis Jr, and siblings George Jr, William, Ruby, Charles, Douglas, James and Harry.
Katherine leaves her family to cherish her memory including her children Kenneth Lee (Alexandra) Brown, Toni (Laurie) Brown-Berry; and Wannetta (Steve) Langley. Also survived by her sister Betty Myers; and by her grandchildren Eric Tyrone Brown, Laura Vasquez-Bolanos, Sara Lucia Brown, and Kendra Lee Brown.
Throughout her career Katherine had many jobs, she began working as a housekeeper and nanny for Col. Fletcher, co-founder of Loudoun Hospital, then she worked for Barber Ross for 27 years and later worked in the cafeteria at Heritage High School for 13 years.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate Katherine’s life on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00am Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir SE Leesburg, VA 20175 with Rev. Roy Trammell officiating.
The family will receive friends on Saturday morning prior to the service at 10 am at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Mount Zion Community Cemetery, 100 Old Waterford Road, Leesburg, VA 20176.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. 42225 Adoption Drive, Leesburg, VA 20175. Please make checks payable to the County of Loudoun with "Animal Program Trust Fund" in the memo line. The Animal Program Trust Fund is used to purchase supplies that directly benefit pets but that are not provided for in the government operating budget.
