Katherine H. Ludlow MacCormack
Research and Grants Administrator
Katherine Huber Ludlow MacCormack, 62, who worked as a Research and Grants Administrator for SUNY StonyBrook, Long Island, NY until retiring in 2006, died after a valiant battle with cancer.
Kathi was a native of Falls Church, VA and moved with her husband and two children to Crofton, MD (1972-1977), and Houston, TX (1977-1982) before moving to Bellmore, NY (1982-2006). She attended Emory University and was a graduate of George Washington University. She also received a master’s degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Upon retirement, Kathi moved to La Plata, MD and became an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Piney Parish, in Waldorf, MD. She loved reading and animals and was an avid bridge player.
Beloved mother of Keith MacCormack of Hoboken, NJ and Kim MacCormack of Leesburg, VA and survived by her ex-spouse of 25 years, Donald MacCormack of Huntsville, TX. She is also survived by two sisters, Sarah Barley of La Plata, MD and Evelyn Flynn of Manassas, VA and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Friday, March 12 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Piney Parish at 4535 Piney Church Road, Waldorf, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capital Hospice of Falls Church, VA or St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Piney Parish, Waldorf, MD.
