Kathy and I worked as a team at Saks Fifth Avenue for many years in the corporate
office. We became close friends, and shared so many interesting, fun, and sometimes
crazy times together. During a 50 year anniversary of Saks Fifth Avenue, Kathy and I
were dressed in long black gowns, and stood at the top of the stairs at Rockefeller Center
to welcome the impressive guests arriving for dinner. A wonderful moment. I could fill
pages of memories we shared. Although distance separated us, with Kathy in
Virginia, and me in New Jersey, we never lost touch. We spoke frequently by phone,
and Kathy visited with me several times. I was honored to be her maid of honor, when
she married Gene. I will miss her candor and honesty and wonderful advice. We knew
each other's families and through all these years, I am so blessed to have had her as
my friend. I'm not sure, how I will cope with her loss, but I will cherish the memories
and know, that we are eternal friends forever. Until we meet again Kathy, hold me a
good spot up there.....Love, Susan
