Kathryn Lampl's Obituary
KATHRYN LOUISE LAMPL, 84, a resident of Fairfax, Virginia for many years before moving to Sterling, Virginia in 1991 to be closer to her daughter Susan, died on Wednesday September 6, 2006 in Arlington, Virginia.
Three children survive her: Barbara L. Baucom of Troutville, VA, Betsy L. Pennypacker of Mesa, AZ, Susan L. Harrell of Sterling, VA, John R. Lampl of Hong Kong; one sister: Carolann Roelke of Sherman, TX; two brothers: James and Charles Cannon of Valporaiso, Indiana; one sister-in-law: Marjorie Oleman of Casper, Wyoming. Her beloved husband James Louis Lampl in 1991 and one sister Mary Jane Goodpasture predeceased her.
Memorial Services will be held at Fairfax United Methodist Church 10300 Stratford Ave, Fairfax, VA on Saturday September 9, 2006 at 1:00pm with Rev. Stephen Bray officiating.
Mrs. Lampl was born February 12, 1922 in Wheatfield, Indiana to the late Harold and Frances Knoll Cannon. She was a devoted mother and wife, spending her early years of marriage in the Norfolk, Virginia area. Mrs. Lampl was a world traveler, residing in many countries including the Philippines (47-49) and Vietnam (56-58). She was a woman with a true sense of style, artistic, enjoyed gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
