Keith Gregory Gehman's Obituary
Keith Gregory Gehman, 24, of Elverson, Pennsylvania passed on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Leesburg, Virginia.
Services will take place on Saturday, February 13th at the Twin Valley Fire Department, 4456 Main St, Elverson, PA 19520. Visitation hours will be held 1:00pm to 3:00pm followed by a Firefighter Last Call ceremony. Masks are required.
Born Tuesday, February 27, 1996, Keith was the son of Gregory Gehman and Charlotte Debter Gehman.
Keith was a 2014 graduate of Twin Valley High School. He received his Lifeguard & First Aid certification from the Red Cross and was employed as a lifeguard at the Twin Valley Recreation Association in Morgantown, where he also competed on the swim team. Keith was a member of Boy Scout Troop 543 and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. During his senior year of high school, he became a volunteer firefighter at the Twin Valley Fire Department. He continued his education at Susquehanna University, where he also served the community of Selinsgrove, PA as a volunteer firefighter through the Dauntless Hook & Ladder Co. After college, he pursued further training as a first responder through Twin Valley FD. In June of 2020 he was selected from a pool of over 400 applicants to attend the Loudoun County Fire & Rescue Academy as a member of Recruit Class #40. He successfully completed six months of rigorous training and graduated from the program as a Firefighter/EMT on January 4th, 2021.
Keith is survived by his parents, Gregory and Charlotte, sisters Stacia Gehman and Olivia Gustafson, brother-in-law, Nicholas Gustafson, brother, Grant Gehman, and maternal grandmother, Claire Sniegoski.
Keith loved the outdoors and was always looking forward to his next opportunity to hike, camp and explore. He enjoyed learning about history, natural science and politics.
