I met KC Dodd while we were working together at Law Engineering in Tysons Corner in 1984. He was a wonderful independent person with a touch of rebellion in him. I shared these traits. By 1985 we became golfing buddies and played often at the Herndon Municipal course and Burke Lake. He had left the company by 1986 and worked for the Fairfax County Government. I tried to connect with him the last several years but unfortunately could not locate him. I think about him from time to time and miss his great sense of humor. I smile when I think of spending time with him in the 1980s. Gordon Cruickshank

Kent and I worked together at VDOT in the late 70s. We immediately became close friends. Of course, we soon went in opposite directions. Forty years later, we connected on FB and had been texting a lot over the past two years. Though I hadn't seen him face to face in over 40 years, he was still a good friend. I was shocked to hear about his passing. It happened so fast. My condolences go out to all of his family and friends. Godspeed Kent! I will miss you!
