"King Fish" Calvin L. Everhart's Obituary
“King Fish” Calvin Leslie Everhart, 95, a life long resident of Lovettsville, VA, died June 21, 2008 in Louisa, VA. Mr. Everhart was born April 25, 1913 in Lovettsville to the late Charles Lincoln and Mary Melva Evans Everhart. His wife of 70 years Dorothy Wenner Everhart, son Carlton Leslie Everhart, granddaughter Jeannie Everhart and a daughter in law Joan L. Everhart also predeceased him. Mr. Everhart worked on the family farm for many years as a young man. He had also worked with the B&O Railroad, Brunswick, MD from 1944 until diesel locomotives took over steam engines in 1959. Perhaps he was best known as “a junk man,” as he proudly called him self. He operated a junkyard located at his home on South Church Street in Lovettsville from 1939- 1975. Mr. Everhart was life long member of the Lovettsville Fire dept. Mr. Everhart helped the Lovettsville Volunteer Fire and Rescue run their Bingo games on Saturday nights for over fifteen years. Mr. Everhart was also a charter member of the Lovettsville Game Protection Association.
Mr. Everhart is survived by one son Milford Eugene Everhart, Mineral, VA; one daughter in law: Elizabeth M. Everhart, Hagerstown, MD; one brother: Charles Everhart, Lovettsville, VA; three grandsons: Richard, Paul, Glenn and seven great grandchildren

Following a visitation from 12-1 funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 25 at Brown/Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 34 East Broad Way in Lovettsville at 1pm with Rev. Roland England officiating. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
