Kirk D. Kennedy's Obituary
Kirk D. Kennedy, 69 of Herndon, Virginia, formerly of Rome, New York, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2024. Kirk was born May 7, 1954, in Herkimer, New York to the late John and Monica (Santamour) Kennedy. Kirk attended Rome Catholic High School and graduated in 1972. He attended Potsdam State University of New York and received his associate degree in construction technology from SUNY Canton. Kirk is survived by his sisters, Debra Carnes, Lacona, New York, Bridget (John) Cormack, his brothers, Kevin (Jackie) Kennedy and John Kennedy III. He was predeceased by his companion, Theresa Griffith, brother-in-law John Carnes and nephew, Andrew Carnes. Kirk was survived by several nieces and nephews whom he treated, as if they were his own. Kirk was also survived by several Aunts and Uncles. A burial will take place in the Spring in Pulaski, New York. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in memory of Kirk.
