OBITUARY INFORMATION
KRISTI PETERSEN (BOOM), 49, on June 21, 2006 in Ashburn, VA following acute Cardiac Arrest. She is survived by her beloved husband of 17 years: William E. Petersen Jr. of Ashburn, VA; her two adored sons: Matthew and John Petersen of Ashburn, VA; her mother: Leone and husband John Gray of Durham N.C.; one brother: Jim and Betty Sue Boom of Woodbridge, VA; one sister: Laurie and John Fischer of North Carolina and a host of other relatives and friends who are deeply grieving. Kristi’s warm heart and generous spirit enriched all the lives she touched. Kristi infused all facets of her life with humor and joy. Kristi’s final act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. S.E. Leesburg, VA on Saturday June 24, 2006 from 3-5pm, services will follow at 5:00pm.
Mrs. Petersen was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on April 2, 1957 to the late Lloyd S. Boom and Mrs. Leone Kelley Gray. She is a 1975 graduate of J.E.B. Stuart H.S., Falls Church, VA and attended Georgetown University. Mrs. Petersen worked with Sally Mae in the Washington and Reston offices for 18 years. Since 2001 she worked in the human resources department for Raytheon, Falls Church, VA.
