Lani Kay Wilkinson's Obituary
Lani Kay Wilkinson, 64, of Lucketts, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015, after a valiant battle with cancer.
Lani was born Monday, December 11, 1950, in Washington, DC. She was a daughter of the late Clifford Raeburn Paulson and Netta Alameda Paulson.
Lani was the owner and operator of Knotty Woods Landscaping Company for more than 20 years. She was well known locally in the horticultural community, and did many beautiful landscapes for residential and commercial businesses throughout the region.
Lani leaves her family to cherish her memory: her beloved husband of 45 years, Larry S. Wilkinson, of Lucketts; her mother, Netta; her son, Reed Wilkinson and daughter-in-law Sarah of Chesapeake; 2 grandchildren, Savannah and Wyatt; one brother, Marshall Paulson; and her sisters, Lee Paulson, Lele Wentworth, Lyn Olson, and Lisa Newell; as well as several beloved nephews and nieces. She also is remembered by her long-time employees, whom she loved like family, and many other friends.
At Lani’s request, celebration of life will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a tree, shrub, or other plant be planted to help make the world a more beautiful place.
