Laura Virginia Shreve's Obituary
Laura Virginia Shreve, 93 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, Virginia.
Laura was born on Saturday, November 1, 1919 in Arlington Co., Virginia. She was a daughter of the late James Morris Howard and the late Laura Virginia Rice Howard.
She was the wife of the late Allen Kenneth Shreve, Sr. who predeceased her in 1992.
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Laura Lee and son in law Wallace E. Newman.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Allen Kenneth Shreve, Jr. and daughter in law Susan of Leesburg, VA, her daughter, Cindy Shreve of Leesburg, VA, her brother, Allen Howard & sister in law Laura of Arlington, VA; 2 grandchildren, Allen Kenneth Shreve, III, and Laura Elizabeth Destanley both of Leesburg; 4 great grandchildren, A.K. Shreve, IV, Ethan Matthew Shreve, Laura Olivia Destanley, Camille Shreve Destanley; plus many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm, at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Elijah White officiating.
Interment will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
Laura loved animals, especially her dogs therefore, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Loudoun County P.O. Box 601 Leesburg, VA 20178.
