Lawrence Randolph Marvin's Obituary
LAWRENCE RANDOLPH MARVIN, 57, of Ashburn died suddenly at home on Monday, November 26th 2012. Mr. Marvin was born April 8th 1955 in Fresno, California. He lived in the Northern Virginia area for many years and worked as the proprietor of Marvin Builders as a talented building contractor. He was also a dedicated musical artist and lead guitarist. As a musician, he sang and played in several worship bands in the area. Mr. Marvin was presently serving with the worship team at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg. He was an avid motorcyclist and will be remembered fondly as a perfectionist with anything he did. He was a very caring and giving man with great love for God and family. Most importantly, Randy Marvin loved Jesus and was a faithful witness to the Lord in everything that he did.
Mr. Marvin is survived by his beloved wife of 11 years, Dolores Ann Thiel-Marvin of Ashburn; His parents: Col. John Maynard Marvin, USAF Retired and Dolores Marquez Marvin of Savannah, GA; Three children: Justin Marvin of Springfield, VA, Eric Michael Thiel (Paula) of Roanoke, VA, Laura Kristine Herring (Ryan) of Ashburn, a brother: Michael Sellers of Savannah, GA; a sister: Sherry Marvin of Alaska; two grandchildren: Ethan Michael Thiel, Landon John Herring and a host of other relatives and friends. A brother, Martin Marvin predeceased him.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 1st 2012 at the Cornerstone Chapel,742 Miller Drive SE in Leesburg, VA with Pastor Mike Emerson officiating. Interment will be in St. David’s Cemetery in Ashburn.
