Leroy Day's Obituary
MR. LEROY JOHN DAY, 77, a resident of Arlington, VA died on Friday May 25, 2007 in Arlington.
Mr. Day was born in Hamilton, VA to the late Julius Perry and the late Martha Day on June 30, 1929. His wife Dorris Ann Day also predeceased him. Mr. Day worked with Cartwell’s Slaughter House in Hamilton for many years before moving to Arlington and beginning his career with the Browhill Apartments in Arlington.
His two sisters Maxine and husband Arthur Phillips of Leesburg and Bertha Day of Ashburn, VA; one brother Leonard and wife Glory Day of Detroit, Michigan survive him.
Friends may call at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, 252 West Virginia Ave. Hamilton, VA from 6-8pm on Friday June 1, 2007. Funeral services will follow at the church on Saturday at 11:00am with Rev. Reginald Early officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Hamilton, VA.
