In the past 8 years or so, Leslie served as a Samaritan’s Purse volunteer and I served her and other volunteers as a Chaplain at great distances from her home innNorthern Virginia. She served in Louisiana, Texas & maybe in North Carolina. At the church I attended in Fairfax County, as we packed up a box truck with SPs Operation Christmas Child boxes, Leslie showed-up one day to deliver Christmas Boxes that were prepared by people from her church. Leslie was a Bible-based Christian and displayed a joy for life. I cannot wait to see her again! Phil Hannum, Chaplain

Though we haven't visited in person in the last couple of years, we shared thoughts and laughs through messages. Leslie was one of the most giving people I know...her time, her resources (including knowledge!), her kindness. She's taken me to doctor appointments when family members were unable to accompany, talked with total strangers in any setting and made them comfortable about sharing life experiences, brought USAF trinkets to my husband to make him feel recognized in spite of his dementia, and I could go on. I will miss her insight and loving spirit. To God be the glory!
