Lewis Carr's Obituary
George Lewis Carr, 87 of Leesburg, Virginia died on Friday, February 20, 2009.
Born on Sunday, August 14, 1921 in Loudoun County, Virginia , he was a son of the late John Lewis Carr and the late Mary Louise Atwell Carr.
Mr. Carr served his country in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1944. He loved fishing, hunting, and archery.
He was retired from C & P Telephone Company.
Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Patsy Dillon Carr of Leesburg, VA, three sons, Chris Carr of Arlington, VA, Jeff & wife Tricia Carr of Philomont, VA and Scott Carr of Purcellville, VA; he is also survived by his sister, Mary Ellen Harding of Hamilton, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by son, Mark Carr, brother, John C. Carr.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at Leesburg Union Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Wishmeyer officiating.
