Lillian Downs Skidmore's Obituary
Lillian Downs Rinker Skidmore, 89, a longtime Loudoun County seamstress went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 15, 2011 in Mechanicsville, Virginia at Dignity First Manor. Lillian was born April 20th 1922 in Loudoun County to the late John N “Jack” and Mary A. Downs.
Mrs. Skidmore is survived by her daughter Charlotte Rinker Domalik (John) of Henrico, Virginia; two grandsons: Charles Francis Domalik (Laura) of Montpelier, VA, Brian Andrew Domalik of Kenisaw, GA; four grandchildren: Lillian Grace, John Thomas, Brian Andrew “Drew” Jr. , Brianna Jordan English and numerous other family members and friends. She was predeceased by two sister: Edna Moore (James), Grace A. Frye (Paul); five brothers: Harry Downs (Catherine), George Downs,James Downs (Edith), John Downs (Dorothy) and William H. “Bill” Downs (Inez) and her husband’s Charles J. Rinker and Robert H. Skidmore.
Friends may call the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE on Friday, August 19th from 6-8pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 10am. Interment will be in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
