Linda J. Wilson's Obituary
Linda J. Wison, 68, of Leesburg, VA passed away peacefully on October 5th, 2019. She was born on May 25th, 1951 in Arlington, VA. She was the daughter of the late George W. Beall and Minnie S. Truitt.
Linda was a strong, independent young Mother, who dedicated her life to providing for and raising her 3 daughters. She had a vibrant spirit which showed in the adventures with her daughters, such as dancing with them to her favorite music, vacuum rides, trips to Timberlake, and the bakery for cinnamon twists and macaroons.
Linda went on to graduate college and earn an accounting degree, resulting in a 42 year career with the federal government, from which she retired in August, 2019. She enjoyed working in her yard, and watching Hallmark movies, but more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, many of whom considered her their Mom as well.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Sandra Shifflett(spouse, Bobby Shifflett, Jr.), Christine Wilson and Shannon Wilson, her sister, Dee Karman, her nephew's, Jeff Hill and Paul Karman and her niece, Jill Baker. She is also survived by her 6 granchildren, Jessica Busch, Clyde Bodge II, Tabatha Bodge, Tracey Walczak, Jennifer Littlefield and Jaclyn Wilson and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family members, Doug and Vicki Smith and soulmate, Gary Stroud. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Hill and her stepfather, Steve Truitt.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JDRF. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 9-10am at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20180 where a service will be held at 10am.
