Linda Norene Hersch's Obituary
Linda Hersch, age 50, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away June 9, 2011 at her love filled residence after a long battle with cancer. Mrs. Hersch is survived by her husband Sterling Hersch, of Leesburg VA, son Christopher Dennis of Charlotte, North Carolina, daughter Candice Gagne of Fairfax, Virginia, son Anthony Dennis of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and grandson Landon Roland Gagne. Also surviving Mrs. Hersch are father James Finley, of Leesburg, Virginia, son-in-law Michael Gagne of Fairfax, Virginia, God parents Johnny and Doris Fowler of Little Washington Virginia, sister-in laws Brenda Hitt of Ammisville VA, Mollie Welch of Flint Hill, VA, and niece Angela Meyers of Manassas, Virginia. She is predeceased by her mother, the late Nellie Musolino and her sister Janet Chapin.
Mrs. Hersch devoted her life to her family, caring for her parents and provided a loving, supportive home for her husband. She was an inspiration to all in the way she lived her life and treated others. She cherished the time she spent with her family. She and her husband Sterling were best friends, true soul mates and companions who enjoyed the smallest joys and tasks with each other. She battled cancer on and off for ten years and truly was an inspiration to everyones life she touched. As a breast cancer patient Mrs. Hersch carried a full time job, obtained her Masters Degree and received chemo treatments at the same time. She was grateful for all the gifts God had given her, and was determined to live and enjoy her life to the fullest. Despite her disease and the difficult treatments endured, she remained strong and motivational to those who surrounded her.
At her request a celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Saturday June 18, at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center 60 Ida Lee Dr., NW, Leesburg, VA 20176.
