Lisa Ann Martin's Obituary
MRS. LISA ANN MARTIN, LCSW, 48, of Hamilton, Virginia since 1995, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at her home after a long and hard battle with cancer. Mrs. Martin was born September 12, 1960 in Webster, Massachusetts. Her early education was in Pittsfield, MA and she graduated in the class of 1978 from Walpole High School, Walpole, MA. Mrs. Martin furthered her education at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, MA and received her master’s degree from Boston College. She was a successful Psychotherapist with a private practice in Leesburg, Virginia for the past twelve years. Mrs. Martin was an active member and involved in the Sheppard’s group at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Ashburn, Virginia.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her beloved husband of 18 years, Mr. Robert Clifton Martin of Hamilton; three sons: Oliver, Jared and Will all of Hamilton; her mother: Janice Boland Higgins of Sterling, VA; her father: Norman and wife Leah Higgins of Augusta, Main; two sisters: Keir Higgins of Houston, Texas, Sharon Stafford of Yorba Linda, California; two brothers: Mark Higgins of Castle Rock, Colorado, Keith Higgins of Herndon, Virginia; her mother in law: Mrs. Beverly Martin of Pittsfield, Massachusetts and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, Virginia on Monday December 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 23 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 43600 Russell Branch Parkway, Ashburn, Virginia with Rev. Kevin Phillips officiating.
