Lloyd Jeffrey Wiley's Obituary
Lloyd Jeffrey “Jeff” Wiley, 55, son of the late James Wiley and Bertha Coates-Wiley, was born on August 6, 1955 in Washington, D.C. He was educated in Loudoun County and received his high school diploma from Loudoun County High School where he played football, basketball, and wrestled.
Over the years, Jeff was employed as a stocker with many local grocery stores. However, his all time favorite job was volunteering his services at The Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company. Jeff was a dedicated member of First Mount Olive Baptist Church where he loved singing with the Men’s Choir. Jeff was a fun loving and charismatic young man. He loved watching the Redskins and being a very social fixture in the county.
On November 12, 2010 after a long battle with heart disease, Jeff departed his life here on earth.
Surviving are daughters, Patricia Glenn of Inwood, WV, Leslie Campbell of Leesburg, VA, Angel Wiley of Charles Town, WV and Lisa Wiley of Leesburg, VA, brothers, Lawrence Johnson of Jarrat, VA, James Wiley, III of Martinsburg, WV and Randal Wiley of Capron, VA, sister, Deborah Brown of Frederick, MD; a son in-law Thornton Glenn and 8 grandchildren.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening at the First Mount Olive Baptist Church 216 Loudoun Street, Leesburg, VA 20175. The family will receive guests from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the church on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 11 am. The Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Leesburg, VA. The Repast will be served at First Mt. Olive at the conclusion of services.
