Lorraine Reichmuth's Obituary
Lorraine Vercelia Reichmuth, 87, of Leesburg, VA, formerly of Appleton, WI, died Monday, December 17, 2007, at Morningside House of Leesburg.
Born on February 16, 1920 in Hillsboro, WI, she was the daughter of the late Frank Vodak and the late Emilia (Torpe) Vodak.
The family moved to Beloit, WI and Ms. Reichmuth graduated from Beloit High School.
Ms. Reichmuth attended The Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago, IL where she received her Registered Nursing certification in 1943. She practiced nursing in both Illinois and Wisconsin.
Ms. Reichmuth was married in 1949 and moved with her husband to Grosse Point Park, MI. She was a homemaker for a number of years and returned to the work force in 1965. After retiring from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in 1983 as a claims adjuster, Ms. Reichmuth returned to Wisconsin where she enjoyed traveling, decorating, gardening, and volunteering.
Her daughter, Carol Andreas of Leesburg, and two grandchildren, Lindsey and David, survive her. Two brothers, Leland Vodak and Ronald Vodak, and a sister, Lynn Larkin, predeceased her.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia 20175, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2007.
Internment will be held in East Lawn Cemetery in Beloit, Wisconsin, in January.
