Lorraine Dawson Lilly's Obituary
Ms. Lorraine Dawson Lilly, 77, of Chantilly, VA, passed away Monday, November 23, 2009, at her daughters home surrounded by loved ones.
Born on March 3, 1932 in Fauquier County, VA; she was a daughter of the late George Henry Dawson and the late Stella Pearl Allison Dawson.
Lorraine worked for over 30 years for AT & T, retiring as a supervisor. She loved country music, dancing and to travel, but foremost her family.
She is survived by two daughters: Linda Potosky and husband Bryant of Chantilly, VA, Brenda Heier and husband Jerry of Lake Anna, VA; two step children: Buddy Lilly of Chantilly, VA, and Patty Ondo of CA.
She is also survived by three sisters: Gertrude Callahan of Jacksonville, FL; Cynthia Wagoner and husband Syd of Fairfax, Doris Allder and husband James of Winchester, two brothers, Bill Dawson and wife Lessie of Leesburg, J.D. Dawson and wife Marchel of Winchester; three granddaughters: Lori Knight, Misty Haymaker, Melissa Potosky; two great-grandsons: Devon Caylor and Brendan Knight; plus 12 nieces and nephews.
Ms. Lilly was predeceased by a brother, Claude Dawson, a sister Alice Jefferies, a brother-in-law, William Callahan, two nephews: Greg Follin, Keith Callahan, and a niece Courtney Dawson.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE, Leesburg, VA; where the family will receive friends from 4 to 7 on Friday, November 27, 2009. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 28, 2009, Pastor Ralph Buddenhagen officiating. Interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Hamilton, VA.
