Louis George Thorne's Obituary
Louis George Thorne, age 76, of Purcellville, VA, passed on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family in Purcellville, VA.
Lou was born in Queens, NY on February 22, 1941, the son of the late Louis and Tessie (Skowronek) Thorne.
Lou is survived by his wife: Regina (Farrell) Thorne and three sons: Gary (Melissa) of Leesburg, VA, Michael (Carrie) of Rockville Centre, NY, Louis (Michelle) of Old Greenwich, CT, and six grandchildren: Andrew, Matthew, Lilah, Daphne, Louis and Logan. Loving brother-in-law of Doris Thorne, George and Marjory Farrell, Honey and Don McGrath, and Ginger Frazzitta. Lou will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Lou was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Herbert Thorne.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday January 13, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Leesburg United Methodist Church 107 West Market Street Leesburg, VA with Rev. Jim Wishmyer officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM til the time of the services. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday January 16, 2018 at 12:00 PM at Culpeper National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Blue Ridge Hospice 333 West Cork Street #405 Winchester, VA 22601(https://brhospice.org) or to the Leesburg United Methodist Church (www.Leesburgumc.org).
