Louise Farris' Obituary
Mrs. Louise B. Farris, 90, of Potomac Falls, formerly of Hart County, KY, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007, at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leesburg, VA.
Born on May 28, 1917 in Hart Co., KY. She was the daughter of the late James Washington Blakey and the late Vera Wood Waddell Blakey. Mrs. Farris was a very talented lady. She started as a beautician, then co-owner of Metcalfe Drugs, with her late husband Walter E. Farris whom was a pharmacist, and then a Sales woman in Real Estate. Although she was always a talented and crafty lady, in her later life she began painting. Mrs. Farris moved to Loudoun County in the fall of 98, to be close to her family. She lived in Meadow Glen until moving to Heritage Hall.
She is survived by her only daughter, Nancy (Farris) Wills of Potomac Falls, her brother & sister-in-law James and Hazel Blakey of New Braunfels, TX, one grandson, Andrew Wills of Sterling, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 12:00 noon to 1:30 pm, at the Winn Funeral Home, Inc. 210 Maple Avenue, Horse Cave, KY 42749. Graveside services and interment will follow at Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery at 2:00 PM Saturday.
Donations may be made in Mrs. Farris’s memory to the Rowletts Baptist Church, Rowletts, KY.
