OBITUARY INFORMATION
LOUISE SIVY, 80, of Leesburg, VA since 2006 died on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Leesburg. Mrs. Sivy was born June 7, 1930 in Columbus, OH to the late Donald and Oliveretta Sutton Gwinn. Her husband of 39 years, John Sivy and a brother, Vinton Gwenn also predeceased her. Mrs. Sivy resided in Annapolis, MD for many years before moving to Leesburg in 2006. During the 1970’s she cofounded the Chesapeake Academy in Annapolis. She served as head master of the Chesapeake Academy until retiring 1992. Mrs. Sivy had a great love for education and continued to serve the school as a board member until 2002.
Mrs. Sivy is survived by her beloved son: Michael and wife Larissa Sivy of Leesburg and a granddaughter, Irina Sivy of Leesburg.
Funeral services will be held at the Nativity of Our Lord Orthodox Church, 8911 Weems Rd., Manassas, VA on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 10:00am with Father Alexander Webster officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery, Washington, DC.
