Margaret Joan Emily Lambourne's Obituary
Margaret Joan Emily Lambourne, 81, passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Sunrise Senior Living in Sterling, VA after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her longtime partner Stan Jackson.
Margaret is survived by her only child Mark, grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon, Kylie, Jarad, Ben and Robert; and one great-grandchild; Grace. Also surviving her in England are two sisters: Elizabeth and Doreen. Mark and family are lovingly supported by his wife Miranda.
Margaret was an extremely active and a passionate instructor for the British Keep Fit Association for over 40 years, representing her country in competition and also performed at the Royal Albert Hall, London. She emigrated from London to America in 2004 to be with her family, first living in California where she became active in the Rossmoor Retirement community playing Table Tennis and participating in Square Dancing with the community clubs. She relished all types of dancing and music and enjoyed games and attending family functions. She relocated to Virginia in March 2013 to be closer to her family as she battled health issues.
Margaret was a devout Christian attending Hillside Covenant Church in Walnut Creek when living in California and was an elder in the United Reformed Church in Chadwell Heath, Essex, England.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday, January 31, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
