Margaret Louise Riddlemoser's Obituary
Mrs. Margaret Larue Riddlemoser, 82, of Lovettsville, VA, died on Sunday November 2, 2008 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, in Frederick MD. Margaret Larue Boyer, otherwise known as Peggy, was born on October 13, 1926, in Frederick, MD. She was the daughter of the late Robert L. Boyer and the late Addie Burdette Boyer of Fredrick, MD. Margaret obtained her Registered Nursing degree from Fredrick City Hospital Nursing School. There she was a student in the United States Cadet Nurse Corp, and after graduation in 1946 served in the Navy as a nurse for eighteen months. She continued as a registered nurse in private practice for an additional four years before becoming a fulltime homemaker. Margaret was the wife of the late Robert C. Riddlemoser, who died in 2000. She was very active member in the Purcellville VA Garden Club and was honored by being given a Lifetime Membership in the Garden Club of Virginia.
She is survived by her two children, Lee R. Ray and her husband Joseph; and Neal C. Riddlemoser and wife Kathryn. Both children and their families reside in Lovettsville, VA. Mrs. Riddlemoser is also survived by five grandchildren: Jeffrey R. Riddlemoser of Falls Church, VA; Margaret H. Ray of Richmond, VA; John C. Riddlemoser of Herndon, VA; Samantha K. Ray and Kira A. Riddlemoser of Lovettsville, VA; and one sister, Barbara L. Vavrock of Riverside, CA. In addition to her husband Robert, she was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy L. Fritz of Brunswick, MD.
A memorial service will be held on Friday November 14, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Grace Episcopal Church, 112 A Street, Brunswick, MD 21716. Interment will be held privately on Saturday November 15, 2008 at St. James Reformed Cemetery in Lovettsville, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Riddlemoser’s memory to Grace Episcopal Church or to Lovettsville Volunteer Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 123, Lovettsville, VA 20180.
