Margie Chapman's Obituary
Margie (Stevens) Chapman, 83, of Hedgesville, WV died Sunday, April 8, 2007, at the City Hospital in Martinsburg, WV. Born on October 5, 1923 in Edgarton, WV. She was a daughter of the late Clarence Stevens and the late Mae Matthews Stevens. Mrs. Chapman and her family moved to VA in 1960; living in Herndon and Vienna. Years ago, she managed a dry cleaning business. Foremost she was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Mrs. Chapman was predeceased by her husband Golden Andrew Chapman in 2000.
She was a member of Leesburg Apostolic United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by seven daughters, Juanita Webb of Reston, VA, Janet Hood of Leesburg, VA, Patty Ballard of Jody, WV, Carol Thornsbury of Bristol, VA, Brenda Kahbaugh of Charles Town, WV, Debbie Madden of Hedgesville, WV and Tammy Chapman of Hedgesville, WV; one brother, Glen Stevens of Kemper, Kentucky.
Mrs. Chapman is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175 Leesburg, VA, where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Thursday, April 12, 2007, and where funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.
Interment will be held in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
