Marguerite Pearl Mentzer's Obituary
MARGUERITE PEARL HALE MENTZER, 86, of Lovettsville, VA passed away on Monday, February 14th 2011 in Braddock Heights, MD. Mrs. Mentzer was born July 15th 1924 in Lander, MD to the late Silas and Mable Merchant Hale. Her husband Stanley predeceased her in 1962. Mrs. Mentzer worked for 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Lovettsville and will be remembered as an amazingly giving individual, wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Mentzer is survived by her two sons: S. Marlowe Mentzer of Poolsville, MD, Ronald C. Mentzer of Purcellville, VA; a sister: Arleen Compher of Falls Church, VA, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Wednesday, February 16th 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Brown-Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home on Thursday, February 17th at 2:00pm with Rev. Roland England officiating. Interment will be in Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
