Marian Cira Lynch's Obituary
MARIAN CIRA LYNCH, 94 passed on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in Ashburn, VA.
Marian was born on Friday, December 5, 1930, in Richard (Monongalia County), West Virginia, the daughter of the late Charles Cira Sr. and Valeria Russ Cira. She was predeceased by her husband George Lamont Lynch; her sister, Elenora Bungard; and her brothers, John Cira, Charles Cira Jr., and Dan Cira.
Marian was a devoted homemaker who cared for her children with patience, hard work, and an unwaveringly positive attitude. During the years when her husband traveled for work, she managed the household on her own without complaint, always putting her children first. Her strength, kindness, and steady support shaped her family and became the foundation of their lives.
When the family later settled in Virginia, Marian found great joy in being surrounded by her large, close-knit family. Her home was the heart of family gatherings and Christmas celebrations, filled with laughter, warmth, and love.
As a grandmother, Marian continued to nurture and teach with the same selfless devotion. She cared for three of her grandchildren while their parents worked, took them to appointments, and offered endless love and encouragement. The compassion she modeled lives on in the caring hearts of all who were raised by her.
In her later years at Ashby Ponds, Marian remained as kind and engaged as ever. She loved chatting and making friends, often meeting neighbors for conversation in the dining hall. Even as she grew older, she continued to look after others, offering help and companionship to those who could no longer help themselves.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory including her four children: John Patrick Lynch (Dr. Monique C.), Diana Lee Lynch, Michael David Lynch (Thuy C.), and Dr. Charles Lamont Lynch (Janet B.). She also leaves her sister Pauline Cira George; 6 grandchildren: Dr. David M. Lynch (Dr. Teresa K.). Charles David Lynch, Andrew P. Lynch (Cynthia S.), Jonathan L. Lynch (Holly S.), Dr. Lynne Lynch Consevage (Travis C.), and Ryan W. Lynch; and 2 great-grandchildren: Zoey I. Consevage and Zander J. Consevage.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10 to 11 am at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
