Marie was a true inspiration to have met and interacted with. I first met her at church and learned soon she was a neighbor. I moved to the Westmaren community my children soon learn the 100th birthday bash she had, Her heart was to help others even in her last days. I learned so much through the interaction we had. I was sad about her leaving us, but am thankful to have met such a great woman.
Marie was a fixture at Crossroads UMC and we looked forward to seeing her bright smiling face at Sunday services (even if the Nationals hadn't played well the night before). She loved her baseball! We celebrated her 100th birthday a few years ago knowing that she had already lived a full and rich life. She will be missed.

I've been friends with Marie since I joined Crossroads UMC in 2014. She was always smiling and asking about things that were happening in my life. She was a beautiful soul and I will miss her. She lived life to the fullest right up to her journey with God began. Love you Marie! Pam DiLucente
Marie was my neighbor for 2 years at Westmaren. I was so inspired by her will to live each day to the fullest! She had spunk and charisma that I admired! She truly lived every day and I hope to take a bit of that with me and will remember Marie fondly.
