Meg Homer
I have so many wonderful memories of my grandmother, Marilyn, but there’s one from my childhood that always comes to mind. When we would visit her home during summer vacations, she would often take us to the small dock on the canal behind her house to watch for the rare dolphin, or manatee, or even alligators. As a child, this was immensely exciting and wondrous. Catching a glimpse of these creatures right in her backyard was amazing to a kid from the mid Atlantic. It’s moments like these that inspire us to look for the little bits of magic in the every day. I am grateful for that experience with my grandmother and will treasure that memory always.
