“Pochita”
With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Maritza Myriam Garcia — affectionately known as Pochita — on July 3, 2025, at the age of 62. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by love, and leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion.
Maritza was the heart of our family — a devoted wife to her husband, Jose; a loving mother to her only child, Lisseth; and the proudest grandmother to her cherished grandson, Joey, who was her greatest joy.
Her warmth could light up any room. Whether through her home-cooked meals, her thoughtful advice, or her infectious laughter, Maritza had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and deeply cared for.
Family was everything to her. She was our biggest supporter, our safe place, and the one we could always count on. Her strength, grace, and unconditional love will continue to guide us each day.
We will celebrate her beautiful life during a viewing on July 11, 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel (158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, VA 20175). Her funeral mass will follow on July 12, 2025, at 11:30 AM at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church (101 Oakcrest Manor Drive NE, Leesburg, VA 20176). Family and friends are welcome to join us in honoring her life and legacy.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing her memory and love will forever remain with us.

Con el corazón pesado, compartimos la triste noticia del fallecimiento de nuestra querida Maritza Myriam Garcia — cariñosamente conocida como Pochita — el 3 de julio de 2025, a la edad de 62 años. Partió en paz en su hogar, rodeada de amor, dejando un legado de bondad, fortaleza y amor incondicional.
Maritza fue el alma de nuestra familia: una esposa dedicada a su esposo, José; una madre amorosa para su única hija, Lisseth; y la abuela más orgullosa de su adorado nieto, Joey, quien fue su mayor alegría.
Su calidez iluminaba cualquier espacio. Ya fuera con sus comidas caseras, sus consejos sabios o su risa contagiosa, Maritza tenía una forma especial de hacer que todos se sintieran bienvenidos y profundamente queridos.
La familia era todo para ella. Fue nuestra mayor defensora, nuestro refugio seguro y la persona en quien siempre podíamos confiar. Su fortaleza, gracia y amor nos seguirán guiando todos los días.
Celebramos su hermosa vida con una velación el 11 de julio de 2025, a partir de las 3:00 PM, en Loudoun Funeral Chapel (158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg, VA 20175). La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo el 12 de julio de 2025 a las 11:30 AM en la Iglesia Católica St. John the Apostle (101 Oakcrest Manor Drive NE, Leesburg, VA 20176). Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a acompañarnos y rendir homenaje a su vida y legado.
