Martha Mary Elizabeth Sheppard, 90 of Reston, Virginia died on Saturday, January 24, 2009, at Reston Hospital in
Reston, Virginia
Born one of 17 children, Tuesday, July 30, 1918 in Loudoun County, VA , she was the daughter of the late John
Henry Sheppard and the late Veta Sheppard.
Martha worked as a nannie for many families over the years.
She lived in Washington, DC for many years, until moving to Reston.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence "Teeney Mouse" Turner of Reston, VA; 6 grandchildren, Myra Smith of
Leesburg, Francis Lewis, Jr. of Berryville, VA, Peggy Lewis of Washington, DC, Gilbert Lewis of Sterling, VA, Martha
Cooper of Leesburg, and Florence Cooper of Manassas, VA; 14 great grand children, and 14 great great
grandchilren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, Jan. 30, 2009 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158
Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Rev. Hilda Green and Rev. Thomas Tracey officiating.
Interment will be in Gleedsville Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
