Martin W. “Coach” Taylor
Air Traffic Controller, Round Hill, VA
Martin W. Taylor, 63, of Round Hill, VA, who retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after 26 years, died at home with his family on 9/23/07.
A memorial service will be held on 9/28/07 at 7:00 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Taylor was born on October 19, 1943 in Washington DC, to the late Warren W. Taylor, Sr. and Constance R. Taylor of Arlington, VA. He volunteered in many sports activities in Leesburg, including previously coaching numerous championship teams and serving as a past President for Central Loudoun Little League Football. In addition, he was named the Commonwealth of Virginia’s AAA High School Football Player of the Year in 1961 while attending Yorktown High School in Arlington, VA.
Survivors include his wife Helena G. Taylor of Round Hill, VA, two daughters, Denise T. Fleagle of Round Hill, VA, Kristen D. Taylor of Arlington, VA; two sons, Daniel K. Taylor of Round Hill, VA, Timothy A. Taylor of Fairfax, VA; two stepsons, Charles L. Brewer, Jr. of Round Hill, VA, Sean R. Brewer of Leesburg, VA; one brother, Warren W. Taylor, Jr. of McLean, VA; one sister, Judith T. Mattes of Russellton, Pa; one cousin, Robert Wildman, Jr. of Williamsburg, VA, and five grandchildren, one niece, and two nephews.
Memorials may be sent to Capital Hospice, 209 Gibson St., NW, Suite 202, Leesburg, VA 20176 and American Diabetes Association.
