Mary Jane Adams' Obituary
Mary Jane (Girton) Adams , 94 of Ashburn, Virginia passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Tuesday, July 14, 1931, in District of Columbia to the late William Thomas Girton and Ivy Matilda Lavinia (Ridgley) Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, James Talbot Adams, Jr. and Grandson, William Colandrea, Jr.
After retiring as a secretary from Woodward & Lothrop, she spent her time with her grandchildren, watching murder mysteries and shopping for perfume, cosmetics and shoes. She is best known for her sweet hot tea.
MaryJane is survived by her sister: Judy Merello, four children: James T. Adams III, Stacy A. (Ed) Adams, Sean Q. (Rosalynn) Adams and Kristin C. (Jeff) Hall, nine grandchildren: Angel, Amanda, Bruce, Krista, Sean Jr., Justin, Brianna, Courtney and Kaitlyn, Seven great grandchildren: Alexis, Shaelyn, Kelly, Brynlee, Sylus, Scarlet, and Slade, and many other family and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE, Leesburg, VA. A viewing will be held from 9:00AM until the time of the service.
Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA at 1:00PM.
