I have 47 years of memories of Mary and the family. This makes it hard to just pick out one or more. Just know that I loved her and was blessed to be her friend. I am so happy that I was unexpectedly in town and got to spend several hours with Mary on the 18 and kiss her goodbye. Some people are just so special and she was one of them.
I met Mrs. Mary Dehaven at Meadow Glen Assisted Living in Leesburg. I walked into the dining room my 1st day and looked at her and asked, Were you a nurse? She said yes, I said did you do this? I rolled up my sleeve and showed her my booster shot scar. She said probably and we became instant friends. My time at Meadow Glen allowed me to meet a lot of wonderful seniors. I enjoyed spending time with them and playing games with them on the weekends. There was something about Ms Behavin' that was so special and I loved our conversations. When we played horse racing on Saturdays she would throw the dice so hard I teased her about me crawling under the table to retrieve them. She was definitely one of a kind! I will miss her wit and her kindness. My daughters and I claimed her as our favorite Lady resident. God Bless the family during this difficult time.
