Mary Virginia Funk's Obituary
MARY VIRGINIA FUNK, 82, formerly of Loudoun County, died on Monday, March 11, 2013 in Warrenton, VA. Mrs. Funk was born July 27, 1930 in Rector Town, VA to the late Layman H. and Annie May Shaull Grimes. Her husband, Norman Funk a step-son, Robert Funk and two step grandchildren also predeceased her. Mrs. Funk retired from Housekeeping at Loudoun Hospital, in 1993 and continued working with the Laurel Brigade in Leesburg until 1997. She lived in Middleburg up until 1980 when she moved to Leesburg. She was presently at Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton.
Mr. Funk is survived by a step son: Lewis Funk (Carol) of Aiken, South Carolina; her two sisters: Stella Powell of Leesburg and Peggy Johnson of Aldie, VA; three step grandchildren, a step great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg from 10am until time of services at 11am with Mr. Ray Pitcher officiating. Interment will follow in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
