Mary Emma Loy's Obituary
Mary Emma Loy, 96 of Leesburg, Virginia passed on Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
A lifelong resident of Loudoun County, Mary was born Tuesday, February 6, 1923, in Morrisonville, VA. She was a daughter of the late Charles Cooper and the late Dorothy Simpson Cooper.
She was the wife of the late Oscar Loy, whom she married December 21, 1941.
The passing of her husband left her as a young widow which sent her into to work force. Mary worked for Fairfax County Public Schools until she retired as a cafeteria manager.
A widow for 51 years, Mary passed on the same day as her husband.
Mary leaves her family to cherish her memory including her son, Ronald J. Loy and daughter in law Judy Ann of Round Hill, VA. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, Cynthia Ann Irvine, Robert J. Loy, and Diana L. Afzal and 6 great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Rev. Geitra Mickelson officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, Taylorstown, VA.
